Fireman for a day

We spent the holiday weekend in Bakersfield visiting family. Gavin's Papa (Grandpa) is a retired Fire Fighter, and he was able to get us a full tour of one of the fire stations.

Gavin was a bit shy at first, but he soon was running around, climbing on the truck, sitting in the drivers seat and having a blast. We even got to take a ride, blast the siren and shoot water out of the fire hose!

After shooting some photos with Bailey we then went out to the beach for some fun family photos. Here are a few favorites.

Bailey has left us.

On Friday August 29th we had to put our Best Friend Bailey to sleep. It was an extremely difficult thing to do, but he was dying of cancer and deteriorating very quickly.

The only blessing in losing him was that we were able to go out and get some final family photos with him. These were taken just days before he left us. We are so thankful that we were able to get such great photos with him before it was too late.
