Gavin and I recently spent a morning at Balboa Park taking his Kindergarten photos. I dressed him up in a sport coat and tie and made him look like a big boy. Here are some samples of what we got:

It was in the 80's this weekend, pool temp was around 75 so Gavin and Shawn were in the water.....another 15 degrees and Pamela may join us!

Here are a few favorites from Gavin's first few tee ball games. As you can imagine, I'm loving shooting these!

It's been waaaay too long since we updated Gavin's blog (sorry!). Here are a few photos that we took at Petco Park at the beginning of the 2011 tee ball season. I had a little fun and made them into posters.

Gavin's Memorial Day 2010 Shoot at Rosecrans Cemetery

Gavin and I spent some time at Rosecrans Military Cemetery doing a very special photo shoot to honor our fallen heroes. We've received some very nice comments on these photos from our Photography friends.

I tried to explain what this place was to Gavin, and although I'm sure he didn't totally understand, hopefully he learned a thing or two.

At the end of this photo shoot, Gavin took each flower one by one and laid each of them at one of the headstones.

Gavin in the snow!!!

Last weekend we took a trip up to Julian to play in the snow. There wasn't quite as much snow as we had hoped, but that was probably ok since Gavin didn't have any snow boots and had to play in his tennis shoes!

As much time as I spend at the beach shooting other people, we never seem to go. So I dragged Pamela & Gavin down to the beach last week so Gavin could see his first sunset. This is only the second time he's been to the beach, so he's a little unaware of the "rules" - for example how strong the water is, and how cold it is this time of year.

So the first few photos are of him charging like gangbusters into the water, thinking that it would be just like swimming in the pool at home....which of course it is not.

After the crying and shivering subsided, I taught him a few things about how to stand, how strong the water is, how COLD the water is this time of year etc. Then we got a few more cute photos....

Finally it was time to snuggle up, WARM up and watch the sun go down:

Veterans Day Photos

Gavin and I had the day off for Veteran's Day yesterday. We started our day off with a quick photo shoot at the studio. I love how these came out!

Gavin's official costume for trick or treating was Buzz Lightyear. But he also got an Iron Man costume and got his face painted like Spiderman at the pumpkin patch.

BP at the Padres Game

Last week we took in a Padres game, thanks to Scripps Mercy Hospital. We got there early for BP, and one of Pamela's friends from work was able to get Gavin an autographed baseball.

Gavin went to Yosemite along with Mommy, Daddy, Grandma and Papa. We had a great time, did a lot of walking, got a lot of fresh air, and of course got some GREAT family photos. How often to you get the opportunity to get family portraits in such a beautiful setting?

Gavin's third birthday party (both of them)

Gavin had one birthday party at our house, and one in Bakersfield at Pump It Up. We hired a Charicature Artist (Art By Grant) to come to our house and draw caricatrues of each of the kids, and one of our family. Grant was excellent, and very patient with the kids (all of which were 2-4 years old).

I can't belive it's been over two months sice I posted any new photos of Gavin. But I guess that's because I haven't taken any new photos of him. Not to worry, we have two birthday parties and a trip to Yosemite over the next few weeks, so stay tuned.
